Properties
Phosphorus oxychloride is a colorless transparent fuming liquid with a pungent and irritating odor. It appears reddish-yellow color as it dissolves chlorine or phosphorous pentachloride. Phosphorus oxychloride hydrolyses in moist air to phosphoric acid to release choking fumes of hydrogen chloride. It decomposes in water and alcohol, and generates lots of heat and gaseous HCl. It causes irritation, possibly corrosive to eyes.

Applications
Phosphorus oxychloride is used in producing phosphate esters which are widely used in flame retardants and plasticizers for PVC. It is used in the production of organic phosphorus pesticide herbicides and chlordimeform. It can also be used in chlorination reaction of long-acting sulfonamides. It is used as an intermediate for dyestuffs, a chlorating agent and catalyst in the synthesis of target molecules, as well as an extraction agent for uranium ore.
Packaging & Storage
300kg in plastic drum or iron drum with inner plastic package.
Phosphorus oxychloride is a first-grade inorganic acid corrosive product. It should be stored in a cool, dry, and well-ventilated area.
Output
