Properties
TCEP, or tris(2-chloroethyl) phosphate, is an organophosphorus flame retardant halogen compound. It is not soluble in water, can dissolve in ethanol, acetone, esters, aromatics, chloroform and other organic solvents. TCEP is widely used in cellulose acetate, polyvinyl chloride, polyurethane, polyvinyl acetate, phenolic resins, and other synthetic materials. In addition to its flame retardant properties, it also can improve the material's water resistance, cold resistance, antistatic property and softness.
